Plant Care Tips
Coreopsis (Tickseed) are wonderful choices for gardeners who have little time to dedicate to plant care! They tolerate a variety of soils, need little water and are disease resistant. That said, you can get the most out of your Coreopsis if you make sure that the soil is well-drained (they do not tolerate water-logged soil well) and, for maximum blooming, place the plants in a sunny location. As with all plants, water them well until they are established, then cut back on watering. Once the plants have bloomed the first time, shear them back by two-thirds. They'll reward you with masses of blooms and a tidier habit. Deadheading the plants will keep them blooming until the first frost, at which time you want to cut the plants back to about an inch above the ground. Dividing the plants every 3-4 years in the spring will help keep the clumps to a manageable size and give you more Coreopsis plants for other parts of your garden!

This award-winning, long-flowering, compact perennial has mid-green foliage and masses of vibrant golden-yellow, semi-double flowers that bloom from early summer to fall; drought tolerant once established; attracts birds and butterflies.

Very attractive in borders and containers, as mass plantings and cut flowers; nice addition to water-wise gardens
